As a Workday Support Specialist at Sterling, you will play a pivotal role on our People Operations team by assisting with the development and enhancement of Sterling’s Workday platform. You will have a large role in ensuring the system and processes are globally efficient and our employee’s questions are answered. This Is What You'll Do:
Workday Analyst
Provide primary Workday support for processes, including researching and resolving issues, unexpected results or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
Understand, maintain, configure and test all Workday business processes to ensure solutions provide expected results.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of organizational data within the system for the entire employee life cycle auditing and ensuring related corrections are made.
Work with the functional teams to ensure existing and new functionality is being used and rolled out in a timely manner
Customer Service
Answer employee inquiries through different communication channels. Customer service focus is key.
Develop and document system procedures and tutorials for employees. Train employees on new processes/functionality. Train new system users.
Build and develop relationships throughout the business to exchange feedback on issues, identify and/or solve problems, assess needs, and /or achieve business results.
HRIS Strategy
Champion and serve as technical expert of Workday, helping drive long - term strategic direction, design requirements, features, functionality and necessary enhancements.
Partner with the People & Culture team and other functional areas in multiple projects and acts as a HRIS technology specialist to provide recommendations for systems and technology.
This Is What We're Looking For:
Workday User Experience in Time Tracking & Absence, Benefits, Compensation, or Recruiting.
Partner certifications or Workday Pro certifications also considered a plus
Additional modules and reporting experience considered a plus.
Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills; in depth knowledge of Outlook Email, Calendar, PowerPoint, etc.
Experience with large scale projects that involve large teams in multiple locations
Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing
Great time management skills and ability to prioritize and complete tasks within a deadline
Exceptional Customer Service skills and great follow-up skills to resolve open issues
Analytical Skills to assess each issue and arrive at a best possible technical solution
Strong attention to detail
Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle daily planned and unplanned operational activities
Bachelors Degree required
